Or maybe I am just being a bit of a hippy about it all. To keep them realising this is what they should be doing as writing is life. A “hey, it’s not just you.” moment showing that even well-known authors suffer the same problems and sometimes also need that same virtual kick up the bum to keep them going. And so I found ‘Daily Writing Resilience’ almost like a lifeline. As I keep telling people – I write because I breathe. Whether it be when I was writing technical documents for a paid job, blogging for myself, writing a book, freelancing or even being here reviewing… There is a wall we sometimes hit and struggle that takes place where the doubt of our worth as a writer clashes with our constant desire to write. That struggling author’s zone we writers of all skillsets hit from time to time. I am nowhere in the league of Mr Robinson’s when it comes to actual writing achievements but I still felt a connection. So a book that lived up to its title – go figure. So I was seeking advice, inspiration, and possibly even a virtual kick up the bum to get me to work on my ANY of my current WIP (Works in Progress).Īnd… it worked! And I kept telling myself: “I need this book as a perpetual desk calendar!” as the biggest bug bear I had about it was reading it all in one day… When it was the perfect nudge forward for, well, every day. And so was drawn to ‘Daily Writing Resilience’ as I am often hitting that wall of “I don’t wanna” when I am writing. Okay, so anyone who follows my other reviewer platforms (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) will have noticed that I am also a writer and have had three books published. for providing me with a free electronic copy of this book, via Netgalley, in exchange for an open and honest review.
